Before you go
Visiting Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar — good to know
At Ajmer Sharif Dargah
✓Cover your head — men and women. Caps and scarves are sold outside.
✓Shoes are left outside; wear modest clothing covering shoulders and knees.
✓Leave bags and cameras in the car — they are restricted inside and the lanes are crowded.
✓Thursdays and Fridays, and the Urs festival each year, are the busiest days.
In Pushkar
•Pushkar is a strictly vegetarian town — no meat or alcohol.
•Take shoes off before stepping onto the ghats, and ask before photographing people bathing.
•Politely decline anyone offering flowers for a “free” puja at the ghats — it usually ends in a demand for money.
•A sunset camel ride in the dunes outside town can be arranged on request, at extra cost.

Questions
Jaipur Ajmer Pushkar tour package — questions, answered
What is the price of the Jaipur Ajmer Pushkar tour package for 3 nights 4 days?
It depends on your hotel category, dates and how many are travelling. WhatsApp or call us on +91 73517 07071 and we will send one all-inclusive price. GST at 5% is extra.
How far are Ajmer and Pushkar from Jaipur?
Ajmer is about 135 km from Jaipur, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours by road. Pushkar is another 15 km, about 30 to 40 minutes over the hills. Pushkar back to Jaipur is about 150 km, around 3 hours.
Is 3 nights 4 days enough for Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar?
Yes. Two nights in Jaipur cover the forts and palaces, Ajmer fits into the drive on day 3, and a night in Pushkar gives you the evening aarti and a relaxed morning at the Brahma Temple.
Can we do Ajmer and Pushkar as a day trip from Jaipur?
It is possible, but it means about 6 hours in the car and a rushed visit to both. Staying a night in Pushkar is far more comfortable, and it is the only way to see the evening aarti on the lake.
What should we wear at Ajmer Sharif Dargah?
Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees, and a head covering for men and women — caps and scarves are sold outside the gate. Shoes are left outside, and it is best to leave bags and cameras in the car.
Why is the Brahma Temple in Pushkar special?
It is one of the very few temples in India dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator in the Hindu trinity, which makes Pushkar one of the most important pilgrimage towns in the country.
When is the Pushkar Camel Fair?
It is held each year in the Hindu month of Kartik, usually in October or November, ending on Kartik Purnima. Hotels fill up months ahead and prices are higher, so contact us early for those dates.
Is Pushkar vegetarian?
Yes. Pushkar is a holy town where meat and alcohol are not served. The cafes and restaurants offer excellent vegetarian food.
Is this tour good for senior citizens?
Yes. It is a gentle trip by private car with short walks. The lanes to the Dargah are crowded and involve some walking, and the Savitri Temple has a ropeway, so there are no steep climbs you cannot avoid.
Are meals included?
Yes — breakfast and dinner daily at your hotels in Jaipur and Pushkar — vegetarian in Pushkar. Lunch is on your own, so you can try local Rajasthani food along the way.
Where do you pick us up?
At Jaipur International Airport or Jaipur Junction railway station, and we drop you back there on day 4.
Can we add more of Rajasthan?
Yes. For just Jaipur, see our Jaipur tour package; for tigers, the Jaipur Ranthambore tour; and for longer routes, all our Rajasthan tour packages.
Are prices the same at festivals?
No. Quoted rates do not apply on Christmas, New Year, long weekends, Holi, Diwali, the Pushkar Camel Fair, the Ajmer Urs and other major festivals. Talk to us directly for those dates.
Is this tour good for couples and honeymooners?
Yes. Couples travel in their own private car with a double room every night, at their own pace. We can add a room upgrade, flower decoration or a candle-light dinner on request — and see our Rajasthan honeymoon package for a trip built around couples.
Do you have a family or group package for this tour?
Yes. The same private Jaipur Ajmer Pushkar tour runs for couples, families and groups. Families of 3 to 6 travel in an Ertiga or Innova Crysta with family or connecting rooms; groups of 7 or more travel in a Tempo Traveller or several cars, with all rooms in the same hotel. The price per person falls as your group grows — send us your headcount for a quote.
How do we book, and how much advance do you take?
A 30% advance of the total package cost confirms your trip, and the balance is due at least 7 days before departure. You deal with us directly — we book the hotels and the driver ourselves.
Can we postpone or cancel?
You can postpone free of charge with at least 30 days' notice, subject to hotel availability. The 30% advance is non-refundable; beyond that, cancellation charges are a percentage of the total package cost, deducted from what you have paid.
