Kargil Leh Turtuk Nubra Pangong Tour
Day 1: Srinagar to Kargil (202 Kms / 5-6 Hrs.)
Upon your arrival at Srinagar airport, our representative will be there to assist you. We will begin our journey towards Kargil via the picturesque Zogila Pass. As we drive, we'll make a stop at Sonmarg for a delicious lunch. Afterward, we'll continue our drive towards Kargil, passing through the breathtaking Zogila Pass, the gateway to Ladakh. On the way, we'll visit Drass, the second coldest place on earth, and explore the Drass War Memorial. In the evening, we'll reach Kargil, where you'll check in to your rooms for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Kargil to Leh (220 Kms / 5-6 Hrs.)
After a fulfilling breakfast, we'll proceed towards Leh, the capital of Ladakh. En route, we'll visit the rock-carved future Buddha at Mulbek Village, Lamayuru Monastery, and the famous Moon Land. We'll make a stop at Khaltse Village Market for a break. Later, we'll also explore Sangam Point, Magnetic Hill, and Gurudwara Patther Sahib. By evening, we'll arrive in Leh, where you'll check in to your accommodations for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Leh Local Sightseeing
Today, we'll embark on a local sightseeing tour of Leh. We'll start the day by visiting the Hall of Fame, a memorial constructed by the Indian Army to honor soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. Next, we'll visit the Kali Mata Temple and the ancient Spituk Gompa, dating back to the 11th century. In the evening, we'll drive to Shanti Stupa, a beautiful Buddhist white-domed Stupa located on a hilltop in Changspa. Our last stop will be Leh Palace. Take some time to explore the local market before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass - 18,380 Ft. (125 Kms /5- 6 Hrs)
Today, we'll embark on a scenic drive from Leh to Nubra Valley via the famous Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world at 18,380 ft (5,550 meters). We'll stop at the pass to admire the breathtaking views and capture some photographs. Nubra Valley is located at the confluence of the Shayok and Nubra rivers and was an important stop on the ancient caravan route. In Nubra, we'll visit Deskit Gompa, perched on a rocky spur with a commanding view of the valley. You'll also have the opportunity to ride the famous double-humped Bactrian camels in Hunder. In the evening, we'll return to our camp/hotel in Nubra for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Nubra - Excursion to Turtuk - Nubra
Today, we'll embark on an exciting excursion to Turtuk, a less explored but captivating destination in Ladakh. En route, we'll witness spectacular mountain ranges and charming villages. Turtuk is a border village that was recaptured by the Indian Army in 1971. It offers a unique cultural experience as the locals have relatives across the border and rely on farming and other activities for their livelihood. After a full day of exploration, we'll return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay in our camp/hotel.
Day 6: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok (165 Kms/5 - 6 hrs)*
After breakfast, we'll drive to our next destination, Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 14,500 ft (4,420 meters). We'll take a scenic route via Shayok and Tang Tse, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching Pangong Lake, we'll spend the day enjoying its serene beauty. In the evening, we'll settle in our camp by the lake for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Return to Leh via Changla Pass - 5486 Mtrs. (160 Kms/5 - 6 Hrs)
After witnessing a mesmerizing sunrise at Pangong Lake, we'll have breakfast and begin our journey back to Leh. On the way, we'll cross the Changla Pass at an elevation of 17,590 ft (5,360 meters) and visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, and the famous 3 Idiots school. In the evening, we'll arrive in Leh, where you'll have free time for shopping or leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.
Day 8: Leh to Srinagar
After an early breakfast, it's time to return to Srinagar. We'll drive straight to Srinagar, reaching there by evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in Srinagar.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, we'll transfer you to the airport for your onward journey, concluding this unforgettable adventure in Ladakh.
