Questions
Rajasthan heritage tour package from Jaipur — questions, answered
What is the price of the Rajasthan heritage tour package from Jaipur?
It depends on your hotel category, dates and how many are travelling. WhatsApp or call us on +91 73517 07071 and we will send one all-inclusive price. GST at 5% is extra.
What does the heritage tour cover?
Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar, the Karni Mata Temple and Bikaner with Junagarh Fort, two nights in Jaisalmer with the Sam dunes, and Jodhpur with Mehrangarh — 7 nights and 8 days in all.
What is Pushkar famous for?
Its sacred lake, ringed by 52 ghats, the Brahma Temple — one of the very few in India — the evening aarti, and the Pushkar Camel Fair, usually held in October or November.
How long are the drives?
Jaipur to Pushkar is about 150 km (3 hours) and Pushkar to Bikaner about 265 km with Karni Mata on the way. The longer days are Bikaner to Jaisalmer, about 330 km, and Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, about 285 km.
Is the Karni Mata Temple included?
Yes. It lies at Deshnoke on the road from Pushkar to Bikaner, so we stop there on the way in. Shoes are left outside, so carry socks if you prefer.
Is the camel ride included?
The drive to the Sam dunes and dinner at the desert camp are included. Camel and jeep rides are paid on the spot to the operators, so you can choose how long to ride.
Where does the tour start and end?
It starts with pickup at Jaipur airport or railway station and ends with a drop at Jodhpur airport or railway station.
What is the best time for this tour?
October to March. The Pushkar Camel Fair is usually in October or November, the Bikaner Camel Festival in January and the Jaisalmer Desert Festival in February. April to June is extremely hot in the desert.
Can we add Udaipur?
Yes. Our Complete Rajasthan tour adds Udaipur, Ranakpur, Chittorgarh and Pushkar in 10 nights, and the Royal Rajasthan tour focuses on the forts and lakes of the south.
Are prices the same at festivals?
No. Quoted rates do not apply on Christmas, New Year, long weekends, Holi, Diwali, the Pushkar Camel Fair, the Bikaner Camel Festival, the Jaisalmer Desert Festival and other major festivals. Talk to us directly for those dates.
Are meals included?
Yes — breakfast and dinner daily. Lunch is on your own, so you can try local Rajasthani food along the way.
Is this tour good for couples and honeymooners?
Yes. Couples travel in their own private car with a double room every night, at their own pace. We can add a room upgrade, flower decoration or a candle-light dinner on request — and see our Rajasthan honeymoon package for a trip built around couples.
Do you have a family or group package for this tour?
Yes. The same private tour runs for couples, families and groups. Families of 3 to 6 travel in an Ertiga or Innova Crysta with family or connecting rooms; groups of 7 or more travel in a Tempo Traveller or several cars, with all rooms in the same hotel. The price per person falls as your group grows — send us your headcount for a quote.
Is the tour suitable for children and senior citizens?
Yes. It is a private trip by car, so we set the pace around your family — early starts on the long drive days, rest stops on the road, hotels with lifts or ground-floor rooms on request, and simple, freshly cooked meals. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we will plan accordingly.
How do we book, and how much advance do you take?
A 30% advance of the total package cost confirms your trip, and the balance is due at least 7 days before departure. You deal with us directly — we book the hotels and the driver ourselves.
Can we postpone or cancel?
You can postpone free of charge with at least 30 days' notice, subject to hotel availability. The 30% advance is non-refundable; beyond that, cancellation charges are a percentage of the total package cost, deducted from what you have paid.
